Minnamurra River to Bass Point Sea Guide Assessment

We will be launching from James Oates Park at Kiama Downs and paddling out the Minnamurra River near Stack Island.  This is a river bar with the possibility of  some breaking waves so bring a helmet.  

Our paddle trip will be north to Bass Point and Bushranger Bay with a surf landing during the day.  This trip is for a sea guide assessment so you will be asked to participate in some scenarios.  

Dress for immersion, bring a helmet, food and water accessible from the kayak, lunch and any other equipment you require for a day on the water.  

Open to strong grade 2 paddlers.  Kayaks equipped to grade 2.

James Oates Park has water, toilets, adequate parking and an easy launch into the Minnamurra River
