Come and Try Sea Kayaking Day

Bundeena,  Sunday 18th of November 2018, 8 am to Noon

Do you have a friend keen to try sea kayaking, and maybe join the club?

Like some support to take them out and try our wonderful sport?

This trip will give new paddlers an opportunity to paddle with skilled and experienced sea kayakers and enjoy a club social day out. You and your friend will be taken out together in a group with other paired up with a current member. So along with other members in the group and a qualified trip leader, you will be part of the support team.

When you register, you are registering for two people – you as the member and your friend as a novice.

Your friend will be signed up as a temporary member. Details of how to do this will be advised after registration and closer to the day. Note there will be a small cost for this to cover administration and tick insurance boxes.  A National Parks entry fee applies if you do not have a Parks Pass.

What you need: Kit for both you and your friend. So, an extra sea kayak, paddle, lifejacket (type 50s compliant) and spray deck. Make sure you bring your usual safety gear (e.g. towline) and if you have any spare, safety gear for your friend.

If you are keen but short of some gear items or if you have a bit of extra gear that may help someone else out, please drop Beth (bethsymonds99 @ an email.

Start time is 8 am and expect to finish by 12:30.  If you have the time, there will most probably be a social lunch afterwards.  Bring water and a few snacks for the paddle.

If you have any questions about this event or if it is showing as FULL and you wish to be placed on a waitlist, contact the training coordinator.

If numbers require it, we may divide into more than 1 group and paddle different itineraries.
