Why can't I register for trips?

Club Events are listed in on the Event Registration Page.  

If the event description starts with "Weekly" it is a regular club event.  The trip leader maintains an email distribution list.

Other events use the website registration system where only members can register.   

If the event does not display a Register button it can be due to:

  • You are not logged in and the event is restricted to registered Club members.  
  • The event is a regular weekly trip that uses an email system.  Click on the event Details on who to contact and how to register your interest.
  • The event is not open for Registration but on the club calendar as a placeholder (e.g.  Rock N Roll)
  • Registration is Closed.  This occurs so that trip leaders can finalise plans and interest in a trip. 
  • Registration number limit is reached the event shows as FULL.  In these cases, the trip leader may have a waitlist option.  
  • The event set up is incorrect.  Contact the trips coordinator for investigation.

Interest in weekly events is managed by the individual trip leaders.  You must contact the trip leader directly to be added to weekly event notifications.  

Further notes on the Website registration system.  To be able to Register via the website you must:

a) be logged in to the website under the name or user id you want to register for,   i.e.  you cannot register additional family members, they have to decide to come themselves.

b) have a current membership or financial subscription.

To see if your membership is current, when logged in, go to Your Club Memberships.  Most memberships expire on the 31st of December each year.  You can click on the expired membership to Renew or renew in advance.
